1 loaf pan
- 3 bananas ripe
- 1 egg
- 100 g sugar
- 80 g chocolate chips
- 180 g flour all-purpose
- 75 g butter unsalted
- 5 g vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon
- 3 g salt
Preheat the oven at 170C (350F)
Smash the bananas with a fork and add to the mixing bowl
Add the egg and mix.
Add all remaining ingredients except from the flour and chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.
Add the flour in two batches, mix until just incorporated
Finally add the chocolate chips and give it a stir.
Add the batter In a greased and floured bread pan and bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
- Use ripe bananas: Use ripe bananas but not overripe
- Don’t overmix: Overmixing the batter can lead to a dense texture.
- Experiment with mix-ins: Try shredded coconut, white chocolate chips, or even a swirl of peanut butter for extra flavor.
- Bake at the right temperature: A moderate oven (350°F/170°C) ensures even baking.
